Abstract This Report depicts the activities carried out during the Curricular Internship period at NOVA CRU and held Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Ocidental, E.P.E., thus completing the postgraduate training for the Master’s in Clinical Research Management. The Internship focused on implementing all the activities that involve the Coordination of Clinical Studies in Research Centers, mostly at Hospital de Santa Cruz. The activities performed were described sequentially considering the chronological order of the follow-up phases of a Clinical Study from the Feasibility phase to the Closing phase. In this report all of the knowledge obtained and tasks are described taking in consideration the types of studies, sponsors and Clinical Studies developmental phases. This document is divided into two major Chapters: Chapter I: reports, describes and quantifies all activities carried out during the Internship. Chapter II: short Monograph related to the importance of Standard Operating Procedures in Clinical Research. The second Chapter is the result of a challenge, proposed by the Supervisor to the Student at the beginning of the Internship period, consisting in the writing of Standard Operating Procedures which filled the gap regarding the existence of Quality Documents in the Clinical Research Centers that NOVA CRU coordinates. With the area of Clinical Research in strong expansion, the opportunity of developing this Curricular Internship easily proved to be an asset, culminating in a set of learning, personal overcoming, challenges met, and a better understanding of the real world of work Topical name Clinical Studies coordination
