Abstract This report is an integral part of the Master's degree in Clinical Research Management and it aims to complete this cycle of studies and obtain its degree. In order to develop it, a curricular internship was carried out in the area of clinical research coordination, which took place at Centro Hospitalar Universitário Cova da Beira. The main objective of the internship was the practical application of the theoretical knowledge covered throughout the aforementioned master's degree, allowing the development of soft skills related to a real work environment. In addition, it allowed the performance and monitoring study coordination activities in a hospital environment, as well as the development of techniques and tools that made possible the overcoming of difficulties and challenges inherent to the responsibilities of a clinical research coordinator. In this report a theoretical contextualization on clinical research is presented, followed by a bibliographic review on the topic "Decentralization and Dematerialization of Clinical Trials". Subsequently, the clinical trial coordination activities developed during the curricular internship are described and quantified. This curricular experience allowed, on one hand, to follow the daily dynamics of a clinical research practice in a hospital unit and, on the other hand, to develop personal and professional skills and aptitudes that are fundamental in the management of clinical trials.
